Before the meeting, Chinese representatives were invited to have a friendly meeting with Phil Wirdzek, chairman of the U.S. Institute for Sustainable Laboratories, Daniel L. Doyle, vice chairman of the U.S. Institute for Sustainable Laboratories, and Punit K. Jain, a member of the board of directors, to exchange views on the current and future development of the Chinese and American Laboratories. At the same time, they discussed and reached a consensus on how to establish a unified valuation system of green sustainable development in China and the United States. Che Wenyi pointed out that "green" and "sustainable" are the future directions and targets for the development of laboratories. As a "laboratory big country", China has immense market potential, but its overall level is uneven. It’s urgent to establish a complete and mature evaluation system to standardize the management of China's laboratory industry and gradually transforms to “laboratory power country”. Chi Haipeng expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders of the U.S. Association for their support of the first conference of International Institute for Sustainable Laboratory held by the Chinese Chapter and said that China is willing to work more closely with the United States and hopes to establish the evaluation system as soon as possible. Phil said the United States warmly welcomes China's accession and considers it a good opportunity to incorporate the advanced laboratory design ideas and concepts of the United States into the Chinese laboratory market, and also deeply congratulated the victory of the China chapter conference. Finally, all the participants wished the grand opening of the conference with complete success. The meeting ended in a friendly and peaceful atmosphere.

At the meeting, the government, universities, laboratory designers and users from the United States exchanged their opinions and ideas about the laboratory industry respectively.
